Land Rover Discovery Dynamic Design Pack gives the SUV a stealth-like appearance through range of exterior modifications

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery comes incorporating a more clean and attractive look than its predecessor. Now the British luxury car brand has introduced the Dynamic Design Pack for this SUV, which has been showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It gives the SUV a stealth-like look by incorporating a host of exterior modifications.

The Dynamic Design Pack for the 2017 Land Rover Discovery comes as an option and it will be available on HSE and HSE Luxury models. So what are the modifications available? It offers the front grille, ‘DISCOVERY’ lettering on hood, fender vents and ORVM caps painted in Narvik Black. Also the pack offers a 21-inch or 22-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels, Black or Corris Grey contrast roof, new front and rear bumpers.

Not only exterior, but inside the cabin also it gives the SUV an even more stylish touch. Changes inside the cabin include Titanium Mesh finish, premium Windsor leather at dashboard and door-trims, dedicated carpet mats with Nubuck binding. The 2017 Land Rover Discovery appears 140 mm longer than its predecessor, while wheelbase of the car is also 40 mm longer offering more space inside cabin.

For power, the new Land Rover Discovery gets a 237 bhp twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine, a 255 bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel and a 355 bhp producing 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine as well. For transmission duty, all the engines are paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The 2.0-litre engine enables the SUV to accelerate 0-100 kmph in 8 seconds, while the V6 petrol equipped model can reach 0-100 kmph in just 6.9 seconds.

To reduce new Discovery’s weight, the Land Rover has ditched heavy steel ladder chassis and introduced a riveted and bonded aluminum monocoque shell, which has reduced the weight by 480 kg. The new Land Rover Discovery gets host of technologies. The owner of the car can reconfigure the seats of the SUV remotely using InControl Remote app. This app also allows the owner to start the climate control remotely.
